| Going Vegan |

For the record, I've been a strict vegitarian for 15 years.
I've been leaning toward becoming a dietary vegan for a while. Primarily, I almost eat entirely vegan already. I rarely eat out, I cook constantly, I eat lots of fruits & veggies. However, A factor in my not going vegan has been giving up dairy.
Now honestly, my dairy consumption is very very small. Even now, comparitively, it's pretty tiny. I reached a point not long ago where cheese lost its appeal, and really what it comes down to is: junk food consuption.
sometimes when I get really down I get really lazy and I don't want to cook. sometimes it's nice to just have something to snack on. Alot of the time this is either fresh fruit or carrots, but the rest of the time it falls into 2 categories: ice cream, or snacks
To be honest, I really enjoy good ice cream every so often. Even though, from a genetic standpoint, lactose intolerance runs with the women of my family. About half the time I end up having problems digesting it. My relatively sedentary lifestyle doesn't help either. the older I get the more negatively I seem to react to it.
Given how my body seems to react, If I cut dairy out of my diet, I actually might be doing myself a favor.
So starting today, I'm cutting dairy out of my diet for 10 days, just to see how I feel about it. If everything's good, I'll keep up with it. If not, I'll see where I stand & work from there.
one thing I've been looking into doing is a liquid detox. If any of you kids have any info or suggestions, by all means, pass it my way(Evol, Media?) |

Stage 6 is being shut down in 2 days
there goes like a good 1/3 of my quality entertainment. no more semi illegal internet video piracy... Copyrights? pshaw, lets watch it in french with english subtitles! It was kinda awesome on those late nights where you're too sleepy to function but too awake to sleep. I could be super lazy and lay in bed with a wireless mouse and watch vids or whatever in HD online.

| What did you listen to in highschool? |

So my computer is off in my bedroom, and I have this crappy little CD/casette player over in my build room. it's like 8 years old, if not more. totally all beat to hell. So the CD player completely crapped out and finally died last night, and the only thing that'll play are casette tapes.
So I dug through my junk storage because I need music when I'm working on anything, and I found this box of old mixtapes. So I dig through and I find all these old tapes that were made back when I was in highschool. And you know, of course I HAD to listen to them. Ahh memories associated with music...
Everyone in my highschool was a complete douchebag, and they unanimously listened to "Grateful-Rusted-Dave-Hootie-and-the-Blowjob-Travellers". You think I'm kidding.
So that brings me to this question: I know some of you guys are in varying age ranges/geographical locales, so just for conversational reasons I'm really curious what you guys listened to back when you were in highschool?
Because pretty much this is what I listened to in highschool.(thank you music nerds on last.fm)

Have you ever had one of those days where you wake up and you eat something that seems totally viable and within about an hour your bowels start telling you "you did something totally wrong and now we're going to make you pay for it!!"?
Oh my god intestinal tract, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I swear to god it'll never happen again! Why, dear god why?! *rubs tummy in vain* :(
